Swiz 1.1 Released for Flex 4.5 Mobile

The Swiz Team is happy to announce that Swiz 1.1 is now available for download! The framework has been updated to support Flex 4.5 mobile development and also provides metadata code completion in Flash Builder 4.5. It's also packed in a few critical bug fixes at the request of the community.

I Lvl’d Up: Flash Builder Product Manager

I've been a web developer all of my life. With the exception of a short stint as a Starbucks barista, every job since I was 18 has been related to building a better internet. Last week I announced that I would be stepping down as ColdFusion Product Manager and taking on a new challenge at Adobe. I'm happy to share that my new role will be as the Flash Builder Product Manager.

How do _you_ Flex?

The Adobe Learning Resource team has posted a very brief survey on how ColdFusion developers are using Flex. This is the same team at Adobe that writes all the great ColdFusion documentation, including the awesome ColdFusion Developers Guide (PDF). If you would spare 5 minutes of your time to answer some questions, it could lead to better resources and documentation for ColdFusion developers when Flex 4 is released!

Speaking at Ebay DevCon

I'm pleased to announce that I'll be speaking at Ebay DevCon in Chicago, June 16-17. For those not familiar with the event, Ebay puts on this annual conference for all the developers who build/integrate on their platform. You might not be doing too much with the Ebay's APIs but I'm sure most have needed to integrate with PayPal. Personally, I want to find out more about the Skype development options. With the impending VoiP features in Pacifica, I'm curious if we could leverage the Skype network in our Flash/Flex applications.
