Next week we will be holding a Special Event at the MDCFUG on June 22^nd. Since we'll have a few ColdFusion team members in the Washington, DC area, we wanted to take the time to have an open discussion about the future of ColdFusion and ColdFusion Builder. I'll be joined by ColdFusion Project Manager, Vishal Manakame and I'm working to also have Alison Huselid (Product Marketing) and Terry Ryan (ColdFusion Evangelist) on hand to join the discussion.

This is a different meeting time and meeting place for the MDCFUG. AboutWeb has graciously agreed to host this month's meeting at their office in Rockville, MD. This is the same place the Capital Area Flex User Group meetings. It's conveniently located near the White Flint metro station (off the red line). ColdFusion fanboys will be familiar with this location since it's the same area as the old CFUnited Marriott.

We'll kick off the meeting with an overview of ColdFusion Builder and we'll provide a sneak peek at ColdFusion 9.01. Then we'll open up to a general discussion about the future of both products and talk about the type of features you'd like to see. If that wasn't enough, we'll be providing dinner in the form of pizza. Still not enough? How about free beer? Well, just in case free pizza and beer are enough, we'll also be raffling off 2 copies of ColdFusion Builder and a copy of ColdFusion 9 Standard.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of having an open discussion and, what could be, sensitive content, this meeting will not be broadcasted via Acrobat Connect. So be there or be a PHP developer.
